Jim Barbetta and Michelle Mattiske of Waterford have won the inaugural Saratoga Race to the Altar.
More than 12,000 votes were cast, and Jim and Michelle were selected first among the four finalist couples.
Capital Region residents will help plan the wedding by voting on various wedding amenities provided by regional bridal professionals.
In week one, you decided that Jim and Michelle would go to Annapolis, MD on their honeymoon, courtesy of Yankee Trails World Travel and Southwest Airlines.
In week two, you selected Michelle’s wedding gown, provided by Ferri’s Formals and Bridals. Michelle will be wearing a gown designed by Mon Cheri Bridals, as chosen by the public with 56 percent of the vote. The dress is a strapless gown of ivory satin with an intricate beaded netting overlay on the bodice and skirt.
In week three, you were deciding the location of Michelle and Jim’s wedding reception, courtesy of Mazzone Management. Between the choices of Saratoga National Golf Club and the Glen Sanders Mansion, the couple will hold their celebration at Saratoga National Golf Club. In week four, it was time to select their wedding rings, provided by Northeastern Fine Jewelry. While the reception and honeymoon come and go, the wedding band is worn all day, every day. And the winner is Wedding Bands #1. The winning wedding bands received 80% of the vote.
Now in week five, it’s time to outfit the men with tuxedos by tuxego.com. The women have their dresses selected, altered and “almost perfect”. How about the gents?
Vote on your choice for the tuxedos, provided by the Capital Region’s premier men’s formal wear, tuxego.com. Make your selection based on the tuxedo jacket.
Voting for the tuxedos begins August 11th and concludes August 18th.
